Shayne Lavery has predicted more cross-channel moves for the Irish League's emerging stars.
The Northern Ireland striker is revelling in life at Blackpool after signing for the Championship club from Linfield last summer.
Lavery has scored nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for Blackpool this season.
The campaign before he scored 30 goals to help fire Linfield to league and Irish Cup glory.
It has been a major success story so far for the 23-year-old, and he believes the conveyor belt of talent crossing the Irish Sea is set to continue in the months and years ahead.
When asked if there are more Irish League players who could make the move into full-time football across the water, Lavery told BBC Radio Lancashire: "Yeah, definitely.
"Even just at Linfield, the lads were at a great level and hopefully a few more do get picked up.
"It looks like English clubs are looking over there a lot more. Obviously I am not the first player to come over. Obviously a lot of young lads come over, but around my age there have been a lot more.
"Hopefully that continues."
Lavery also admitted playing in the tough-tackling Irish Premiership helped prepare him for life in the English Championship.
And he says he hasn't had to change much of his game following his move to Blackpool.
"I haven't really tried to change much of my game," he added.
"I think what I was doing got me the move so I thought I wouldn't change that much.
"It is more off the ball with the opposition. I have to be a bit more reserved with my running and stuff. I can't go chasing. More off the ball, I have tried to change.
"Just because the level you're coming up again, and no disrespect to the Irish League. Fulham and the likes, Bournemouth, it is a step up for sure."
He added: "It has been tough, yeah, but it is more with them on the ball.
"Physicality wise I have been okay, because the Irish League is quite physical and the defenders are tough.
"So it is more when they're on the ball , I definitely find it a level up for sure."
