Shayden Morris flowing with Aberdeen belief for Hearts blockbuster as he insists 'we know what is coming'

Shayden Morris is backing Aberdeen to wrap up third place at Tynecastle this weekend.

The Dons can clinch best of the rest with victory against Hearts on Saturday. Aberdeen hold a five-point advantage going into the final three games of the season – with third place likely to offer a guaranteed European run until Christmas, providing Celtic lift the Scottish Cup.

Morris said: “I am really looking forward to it. It is a massive occasion for us. We have prepared well. We know what is coming.” The Tynecastle clash is a sell-out with limited numbers sold to the Red Army but Morris added: “We know we have had the backing of the fans all season and we know we will have them again and that will give us a massive push to hopefully get the job done.”

The Dons were out of sorts against Hibs last week but still managed to come away with a point and didn’t see any of their chasing European rivals gain any ground. Morris admitted: “It wasn’t the best performance but there are games where you don’t play your best and everybody steps in to make sure we take something.”

Boss Barry Robson is already working on his recruitment for next season and a deal for Livingston captain Nicky Devlin could be wrapped up this week. Devlin can fill the void at right-back created by Ross McCrorie’s impending £2million summer move to Bristol City.

It has been at an advanced stage for several weeks but has still to be finalised with McCrorie sidelined after a hernia op.
