Shaw, Varane, McTominay, Cavani - Manchester United injury news and return dates for Everton

Manchester United will be without four senior players for the Premier League meeting with Everton on Saturday - but Cristiano Ronaldo is fit enough to return. Ronaldo missed the Leicester draw through illness and is back training with the squad at Carrington.

However, there are further set-backs for Ralf Rangnick to contend with as Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay join Edinson Cavani (calf) on the sidelines. The Uruguayan picked up another problem while on international duty.

Relegation-threatened Everton welcome United to Goodison Park for the lunchtime kick-off in a fixture that is likely to have a significant impact on both ends of the standings. Here is the state of play on the treatment table at United.
