Hibs boss Shaun Maloney has admitted there's been "progression" in Saudi side Al-Faisaly's bid to land Martin Boyle as the frontman heads for the Middle East.
Easter Road chiefs held out after an opening double salvo from the MBS Pro League club.
But a third approach appears to have been too good to turn down and lightning quick forward Boyle looks to have played his last game for the club.
He was excluded for the Scottish Cup clash against Cove Rangers - though was spotted watching the game in Leith to - but should soon jet over to the Gulf.
The life-changing salary on offer, plus being able to base himself closer to national team Australia, are two big factors.
Boyle will join up with the Socceroos shortly for qualifiers against Vietnam and Oman, making Monday's 2-0 defeat at Celtic likely to be his final involvement in green and white.
Maloney told Hibs TV: "I think there's been progression within that situation.
"Martin has been very professional, we've both been very clear and now we're at a stage where it has progressed.
"I had to make a decision that was best for the team and for Martin, really.
"In the next 24 hours we might have more to say, but that's where we're at."
