Chris Goulding has secured an off-season move to Paris Basketball under former Sydney Kings coach and Boomers assistant Will Weaver.
The Melbourne United captain and sharpshooter will complete the French Pro A and EuroCup campaigns for the club that was only founded in 2018.
That will keep the Olympic bronze medallist active until June, providing valuable court time as he presses his case for a World Cup berth in August-September with the Boomers.
It will be Goulding's first overseas stint since an Italian cameo for Torino in 2016, while he has also played in the NBA's Summer League and in Spain.
The United skipper averaged 17 points per game and shot at 40 per cent from three-point range during the NBL season.
The Boomers' depth has exploded since their third place at Tokyo's 2021 Games, thanks to the rise of NBA trio Josh Giddey, Josh Green and Dyson Daniels, and the addition of Portland Trail Blazers' Matisse Thybulle.
But the 34-year-old's ability to space the floor thanks to his long-range shooting prowess remains a valuable asset to a team with genuine sights on World Cup and Olympic gold over the next two years.
Paris Basketball are 12th, three wins back from the top-eight that will contest Pro A finals, with 12 games to play.
They have also reached the EuroCup play-offs and can qualify for the EuroLeague.
"I'm excited to get over to France and try and help the team win some games and I'm also really happy to be joining a former coach of mine in Will Weaver," Goulding said.
