Stone will be starring alongside Bob Odenkirk, who reprises his role as a former government assassin disguised as a mild-mannered family man. The plot details of the sequel are being kept under wraps, but it is confirmed that Stone will portray the film's primary antagonist.
The movie will be helmed by Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work in horror and action genres such as May the Devil Take You and segments of the V/H/S series. The screenplay for Nobody 2 is penned by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem. The original producing team, including Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissiero, and Braden Aftergood, is back on board for the sequel.
Universal Pictures has scheduled the theatrical release of Nobody 2 for August 15, 2025. The first installment of the franchise was made on a $16 million budget and exceeded expectations by grossing over $57.5 million worldwide, despite its release during the pandemic. Critics lauded the film, with The Hollywood Reporter describing it as 'a wish-fulfillment romp that is both ludicrous and immensely entertaining.'
