Sharon Stone has touching farewell with James Corden as he ends US talk show run

Sharon Stone glammed up and gave a touching goodbye to James Corden as he prepares to exit The Late Late Show.

The 65-year-old actress stunned in a bright red one-shoulder ruffled dress at one of the last tapings of the British star’s CBS talk show, which ends next week.

After Corden, 44, spoke to the actress about her recent first solo gallery exhibition of her artwork, he then shared one of her paintings that he thought was “amazing” and “beautiful”.

“It is upside down,” Stone quipped.

“James!” exclaimed fellow guest Jack Whitehall, 34.

Corden then flipped it over and the actress revealed that it was titled, A Fine Way To Say Goodbye.

“That is a great name,” he responded.

She explained that the large painting was inspired by a famous actor and artist who sold his house to a friend of hers.

She said: “And he did so many artistic and so many beautiful things in this house.

“He left sculptures in the garden and fountains and just the house was just so personal... I thought it was such a fine way to say goodbye.

“And I brought it to the show tonight, because you have that essence, James.

“And I walked down the hall and I saw the pictures of you at Penny Lane with Paul McCartney, and the pictures of you in the car with Mrs Obama, and pictures of you with all of the stars.

“And you in sailor suits dancing in Times Square and doing all of the amazing things you have done, and all of the Carpool Karaokes that have given us so much joy…

“And all of the you that you gave to us in this country, and abroad,” she continued.

“And when you go home, back to your home, I want you to know what a fine way to say goodbye.”

The pair then hugged and held hands as the show went into an ad break.

Corden became a big hit in the US when he started hosting The Late Late Show in 2015.

The star, who said he has a “huge amount of fear” over quitting the show ahead of UK return, will be joined by pop star Harry Styles, 29, and comedian Will Ferrell, 55, for his final episode on April 27.
