Sharon Osbourne sent Piers Morgan a text telling him her family is "cursed" after she rushed to her husband Ozzy's bedside as he battles coronavirus.
The former X Factor judge pulled out of her TalkTV show to catch a flight to Los Angeles after the musician, 73, tested positive for the virus in the middle of the night.
In text messages sent to Piers, 57, Sharon told him that because of Ozzy's sudden Covid-19 diagnosis, she feels like "the Osbourne's are cursed".
"She sent me a text from the airport," Piers said, before reading it out to viewers.
The text said: "It's just a nightmare Piers, I'm at the airport now, I feel like the Osbourne's are cursed".
Sharon's family has been through a lot in recent years, with her husband Ozzy being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2020, and her son Jack with multiple sclerosis in 2012.
He then read the statement that Sharon released to TalkTV on Thursday, which saw the TV star break down in tears as she spoke about Ozzy battling the virus.
"Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time," she said.
"I spoke to him and he's OK. I am very worried about Ozzy right now.
"We've gone two years without him catching Covid and it's just Ozzy's luck it would be now."
Sharon then explained how when she gets home to her hubby she will "hold him and kiss him," adding that she will do so with "about three face masks on".
"My family is my life," explained the star, adding: "I can't believe my luck. I'm missing the show and I've only been there three days.
"I can't believe it. Three days and I'm missing the show but I will be back. I know I will.
"It will take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again and I will be back.
"Unfortunately, he was diagnosed in the middle of the night when the family was sleeping so I haven't spoken to them yet. But they'll rally round. They'll be with him.
"You're going to see me back on air in a week.
"I know my husband. We're going to get him back on his feet and we're going to get a negative test by next week."
This comes three days after Sharon's show The Talk, which she hosts alongside Jeremy Kyle, first debuted on TalkTV.
The Talk airs on TalkTV, 9pm Monday - Friday (Sky 526, Virgin Media 627, Freeview 237, and Freesat 217) and live and on demand on the TalkTV app and at Talk.TV
