Sharon Osbourne’s fans were treated to a rare and heartwarming photo of her snuggled up with her grandson, Sidney, but the internet being what it is, people couldn’t help but get distracted — and not by the adorable baby. The 72-year-old TV star posted the cosy snap on Instagram, showing little Sidney cuddled into her side on the sofa, with the family dog snoozing nearby.
She captioned it, “My two main men,” and while many loved the glimpse into her private family life, others were more focused on Sharon’s appearance — specifically, how smooth her face looked compared to her feet.
It didn’t take long for followers to start speculating about filters. One wrote, “Beautiful, airbrushed photo but feet tell your age,” while another commented, “Ok, the filter is STRONG on the face. Almost mannequin-like, but the feet don’t match the face.” Another added, “The feet and the face just don’t match up lol it’s just funny, but she looks great for her age”, reported Hello! Magazine.
Of course, not everyone saw the need to critique. Plenty of people jumped to Sharon’s defence, calling out the unnecessary scrutiny. “Why are people commenting on how she looks, Leave off, she’s having a cuddle with her grandbaby, and that’s all you have to say,” one person said. Another added, “These comments are disgusting. She’s beautiful.”
Sharon’s clearly loving grandma life and has been a solid support for her daughter Kelly since she welcomed Sidney with Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson back in November 2022. Sharon shares Kelly with husband Ozzy Osbourne, along with their other children, Jack and Aimee. Between them, Sharon’s now a grandmother to a growing brood — Jack alone has four daughters.
That said, Sharon’s been in hot water with Kelly before when it comes to oversharing. She was actually the first one to reveal Sidney’s name to the public, which didn’t go down well with Kelly at the time.
“I am not ready to share him with the world. It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby,” Kelly said on social media after Sharon’s slip. And that wasn’t the only incident — she also revealed Ozzy let the baby’s gender slip before Kelly had the chance to. “I mean, he’s told everyone the gender of my baby before I ever got the chance to,” she said. Still, she admitted Ozzy was over the moon about having a grandson and had already started planning bonding time with him.
Kelly and Sid went public with their relationship in early 2022, though they’d known each other for over 20 years after first meeting at Ozzfest — the metal music festival launched by her parents back in the day.
