Sharon Osbourne rushed to hospital after 'suffering terrifying medical emergency'

Sharon Osbourne has been rushed to hospital after suffering "terrifying medical emergency" on Friday evening, it has been reported.

The TV star, 70, had been filming a paranormal TV show in California when she fell ill suddenly, according to TMZ.

She had been reportedly shooting on the set of an unnamed ghost-themed show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California.

The Mirror has reached out to Sharon's reps for comment.

Emergency medical services workers were called out to the Tavern at around 6.30pm over a "medical call", a Ventura County Fire Department rep told the publication. They subsequently transported a patient to Santa Paula Hospital.

Sharon was confirmed to be the patient to TMZ by Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar.

Her current condition is not known.

It comes after her husband Ozzy admitted that he would "rather stay in the US" ahead of his move back to the UK.

In November, just three months after announcing he and Sharon were moving, the Black Sabbath star appeared to be second-guessing his homecoming.

The singer, 73, revealed in August earlier this year that he was "fed up" with the crime and violence across the pond and wanted to come 'escape the shootings'.

But, in a bizarre U-turn, Ozzy said if he 'had his way' he'd 'stay in America'.

"I’m American now," he explained. "To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America."

After receiving "a bit of flak from people" on social media, he reiterated: "To be honest with you, I don’t want to go back [to England]. F**k that."

Explaining the move in Consequence's latest cover story on Monday, he said Sharon's controversial exit from The Talk was also to blame for his US departure.

Sharon was ousted from programme after defending Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle, with some labelling it "racially insensitive".
