Sharon Osbourne posts picture with drip after falling ill with Covid-19

Sharon Osbourne has posted a picture hooked up to a drip after catching Covid-19.

The TV personality is currently bedridden, and says she caught the virus on a flight back to LA to care for husband Ozzy, who was ill.

Ozzy is now "on the mend", Sharon said to Talk TV - but her entire household now has Covid.

She told Jeremy Kyle on Tuesday that she “felt fine”.

But in a social media post the former X Factor judge admitted she had been taken to hospital after testing positive in December 2020.

The photo showed her in bed with her dogs, TV remotes, and a drip connected to her arm.

Sharon had been extremely worried for Ozzie, 73, who has Parkinson's Disease. The Black Sabbath musician has a rare form of the disease called Parkin 2, which he has had since birth.

The couple have three children together - Aimee, Kelly and Jack - and have been married for 40 years this year.

Sharon gave an update on American chat show The Talk earlier this week.

Speaking about her husband she said: "He's doing much better thank you. His temperature is now back to normal his coughing has stopped, he's doing much better."

"But I've got some news to share. My daughter Kelly has it, I have it and the entire household has it now."

Asked if Ozzy will now be looking after his wife, Sharon laughed and said: "Maybe, we'll see. I feel OK actually.

"Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time. I spoke to him and he's OK. I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We've gone two years without him catching Covid and it's just Ozzy's luck it would be now."

She continued: "My family is my life. I can't believe my luck. I'm missing the show and I've only been there three days. I can't believe it. Three days and I'm missing the show but I will be back. I know I will.

"It will take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again and I will be back. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed in the middle of the night when the family was sleeping so I haven't spoken to them yet. But they'll rally round. They'll be with him.

"You're going to see me back on air in a week. I know my husband. We're going to get him back on his feet and we're going to get a negative test by next week."
