Sharon Osbourne has signalled her support for Elon Musk's plan to bring Donald Trump back to Twitter.
The Tesla founder, 50, agreed a £34.5 billion takeover deal with the social media giant's board in April and said at the time that as well as improving the free speech principles of Twitter, he was looking forward to "enhancing the product with new features".
The takeover is expected to be completed later this year.
Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter, where he had 88 million followers, shortly after the January 6 riot on the U.S. Capitol.
Speaking virtually at the Financial Times Future of the Car Summit on Tuesday, Mr Musk said tweets which are illegal or "destructive" should be deleted or made invisible, but accounts must not banned permanently, revealing his plan to reverse Trump's ban.
Asked her thoughts on Elon's plans, Sharon, 69, told TMZ: "If they have the Taliban and the guy that runs Iran, they might as well have Trump... Everybody has the right, even the Taliban."
"I love Elon, so I don’t have anything bad to say."
Speaking about why he thought it was a bad idea for Trump to be banned, Elon said: "I do think that it was not correct to ban Donald Trump.
"I think that was a mistake because it an alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice... I think this could end up being frankly worse than having a single forum where everyone can debate.
"So I guess the answer is that I would reverse the permanent ban, obviously, I don't own Twitter yet, so this is not a thing that will definitely happen because what if I don't own Twitter?
"But my opinion and Jack Dorsey, I want to be clear, shares, that we should not have permanent bans.
"Now, that doesn't mean that somebody gets to say whatever they want to say, if they say something that is illegal or otherwise, just destructive to the world, then that there should be perhaps a timeout, a temporary suspension, or that particular tweet should be made invisible or have very limited traction."
Last week, Sharon sparked concern as she shared a photo of herself hooked up to a drip as she battles Covid.
The Talk show presenter contracted the virus after flying to Los Angeles to care for musician husband Ozzy Osbourne, 73, who has Parkinson's', and had tested positive.
Taking to Instagram last Wednesday, Sharon looked frail as she lay in bed with her pet dogs, television remotes and with a drip connected to her arm.
She captioned the shot, "f**k Covid".
But speaking to fellow host Jeremy Kyle on Tuesday she reassured him that she “felt fine”.
In an emotional video where she spoke about her husband's positive result, Sharon said: "I am very worried about Ozzy. We went two years without him catching Covid. It’s just Ozzy’s luck it would be now."
