RTE's Sharon Ni Bheolain makes hilarious blunder live on the Nine O' Clock News

RTÈ newsreader Sharon Ni Bheolain made a hilarious blunder while reading the nine o’clock news on Tuesday evening.

From the mispronunciation of words to reporters going viral, like with Teresa Mannion warning people not to make unnecessary journeys, our national broadcaster has often proved that the job of a news reporter can be a bit more difficult than many people think.

On Tuesday night the latest blooper made its way into the RTÈ blooper hall of fame, with veteran newscaster Sharon Ni Bheolain accidentally placing a raunchy word in place of the word 'news'.

As journalist Paul O’Flynn finished up his report the camera cut back to the studio and Ni Bheolain, who proceeded to announce what was upcoming on the nightly news show.

However, as Ni Bheolain was announcing this, she accidentally said: "Still to come on the Nine O'Clock nudes" rather than "Still to come on the nine O'Clock News".

While a lot of people might become quite embarrassed by this and slip up further, the expert newsreader quickly corrected herself for the mistake and moved on, continuing to announce what was upcoming on the show.
