She told FM104: "We start filming in September but I don't know when it's going to come out. I guess after summer 2024 but it takes a while- they take ages to make."
The series, which follows the lives of the five Garvey sisters after an unexpected death in the family, also nabbed three additional awards at the high profile ceremony. The show was awarded the title of Best Drama, while Sharon's co-star Anne Marie Duff was named as Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
Meanwhile, 'Banshees of Inisherin' was another big player at last night's IFTAs. Brendan Gleeson was awarded Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Colm Doherty in the dark comedy film.
