Sharmayne Fisher died after being hit by a BMW at the corner of Morrison and Farall roads in Midvale, in Perth's east, about 10:30pm on Friday night.

The 22-year-old had a young son who was being watched by her mother after she went out to the shops.

The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old woman, was not injured.

Young mum remembered as 'beautiful girl'

Ms Fisher said Sharmayne grew up in Perth's east, in the hills, and loved designing tattoos.

"She did beautiful artwork," she said, adding her family was in shock at the sudden loss of their loved one.

A family friend, Nasser Malak, described Sharmayne as a "beautiful" and "honest" person.

"I can't believe what has happened, it is very, very sad," Mr Malak said.

"I am so sorry for the her mother and son.

"It's very hard to believe...It's a very hard time for the family."

The intersection has a number of restaurants and a 24-hour petrol station.
