Hurricane Ian hit Florida so severely that a shark washed up into a neighbourhood street from a nearby beach.
A video widely shared on social media on Wednesday showed the dangerous animal swimming in the rising flood waters near Fory Myers beach.
Millions of people have been forced to evacuate across Florida, while the entire nation of Cuba saw their power knocked out as a result of the tropical storm.

Governor Ron DeSantis has warned that a "catastrophic" surge could see waves of as high as 12-18ft above ground level in some parts of the eastern state.
Joe Biden has sent hundreds of officials to assist with local police officers.
Biden told reporters at the White House on Tuesday: “Forecasts can change, but for now the experts say this could be a very severe hurricane, life-threatening and have a devastating impact.”
Over 2 million people have been issued with mandatory evacuation orders in areas along the coastline of the Gulf of Florida.
The eye of the storm is expected on Florida's south coast soon, bringing with it intense winds of 250 km (155 miles) per hour - although it will likely weaken after making landfall.
However, the strong winds we will see here in Ireland at the end of the week will not be related to the fallout from the United States' Hurricane Ian.
