The government has rejected proposals to change UK legislation to protect the rights of women experiencing menopause.

The proposed changes included a recommendation to make menopause a “protected characteristic” under the Equality Act.

We would like to speak to women in the UK about their view on the legislation, and whether they feel it would be helpful for protecting their rights in the workplace. Do you think a change in legislation would benefit you, or do you fear it could be counterproductive? How so?

We would also like to hear about what policies, if any, their workplace has for staff experiencing menopause. Has menopause affected your career? What was your employer’s response?
