More recently, I went to a throwback screening of the OG film and I was surprised to see, just like me, hundreds of other movie-goers had flocked to see the ol’ classic on the big screen almost 45 years after its initial release. Wild, right? The fact a film from the ’70s continues to retain such a chokehold on this many people over a whopping decades later speaks volumes to its iconic, god-tier nature. With that in mind, Paramount+ knew what it was doing by dropping an for the iconic film. Giving us a cheeky glimpse of life at Rydell High in 1954 — four years before takes place, the 10-episode series focuses on how the Pink Ladies rose to prominence (aka the biggest fkn slay of all time). We also get a look at the T-Birds long before they ruled the school. You can suss the trailer in all its glory . The initial cast for this masterpiece includes   ) as Jane,  as Olivia, () as Cynthia,  as Nancy,  as Hazel and  () as Susan. For those of ya bustin’ to get a look at it immediately, we wanna sweeten your viewing experience with a chance to win some tix to see the prequel on April 14 at 6.30pm. Not just in a regular cinema, though (who TF do you think we are?). We wanna send you to watch it in a cool ’50s cinema (aka Skyline Drive-In Blacktown, Sydney that’ll be kitted out for the occasion).
