LeBron James’ recent comment that he has “a lot to think about” when it comes to “moving forward with the game of basketball” has left people speculating about what may lie next for him.
Some believe he’s trying to pressure the Los Angeles Lakers to trade for his buddy Kyrie Irving, and Irving supposedly wants to reunite with him. In fact, Irving has reportedly recruited James to join him and Luka Doncic on the Dallas Mavericks.
The chances of that actually happening seem remote, although one never knows. Fox Sports 1 personality Shannon Sharpe, who is a huge fan of James, doubts the four-time MVP wants to leave Los Angeles.
Report: Kyrie Irving reached out to LeBron about joining the Mavs:
"LeBron didn't uproot his family from Cleveland, Ohio to come to LA and then say he wants to spend his last couple years in Dallas." — @ShannonSharpe pic.twitter.com/GghKgr2gVg

For James to head to Dallas, he would have to demand a trade since he has two years left on his current contract. Even if that were to happen, the Mavs would likely be bereft of depth and supporting talent around him, Irving and Doncic.
It looks like James’ best chance of winning a fifth NBA championship is with a Lakers team that just reached the Western Conference finals and could be even better next season.
