Shannon Sharpe cleared a little bit more up about his departure from FS1.
Sharpe spoke with his now colleague Stephen A. Smith on "The Stephen A. Smith Show" on Sept. 22 about his last months as a host at FS1's "Undisputed," including one of his biggest regrets.
"If I could go back and do another thing differently — there are a couple of things — that situation, I probably should've reported [to work,]" Sharpe said. "That's probably one of the moments in my tenure that I'm least proud of — that I didn't show up."

Sharpe was referring to his absence on "Undisputed" the day following January incident where Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during a Week 17 NFL game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals.
His absence was fueled by a ill-timed tweet from his then-partner Skip Bayless about the incident in which Bayless questioned the ramifications of the game's potential cancellation given Hamlin's status.
No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game - but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome ... which suddenly seems so irrelevant.

Sharpe explained to Smith that he resonated a lot with the Hamlin's experience because he saw his brother in the Bills safety since his brother had temporarily collapsed on the field in the past.
Sharpe was clearly not happy with Bayless' tweet, and expressed his displeasure when he returned to "Undisputed" the day after his absence, Jan. 4 in an infamous, awkward incident between the two that had Sharpe annoyed at Bayless cutting him off on their debate show.
But Sharpe said that he still regrets not coming to work the day after Hamlin's injury because he said he's always shown up for work in all the other jobs he's ever had.
