Shane Warne's son teases late dad over his teeth as MCC pay permanent Lord's tribute

Australian cricket legend Shane Warne has been permanently honoured at the Home of Cricket after the Sky Sports commentary box was officially renamed the 'Shane Warne commentary box'.

Warne tragically passed away in March at the age of just 52 after suffering a heart attack while on holiday in Thailand. He was a much loved member of the Sky Sports cricket commentary team and the first Test between England and New Zealand has been dedicated to his memory.

Before the game began, the 'Shane Warne commentary box' was unveiled, with his three children, Jackson, Brooke and Summer speaking about their late father in a video message.

As Warne's youngest child Summer paid an emotional tribute, his son Jackson chimed in with a cheeky joke about Warne's teeth. "We're forever grateful that you're keeping his legacy alive," Summer said.

"In Melbourne, we have the Shane Warne Stand at the MCG and now we have the Shane Warne commentary box in the UK, where his second home was.

"When we were kids, he would take us to Lord's and show us around and say 'This is where I grew up, this is where I'll play cricket'.

"Now, every time we look at the Shane Warne Commentary Box, we'll hear his voice and hear his laugh." Jackson then joked: "And see his shiny, white 'natural' teeth!"

"We'd also like to say a huge thank you to the MCC for giving our family the honour of naming the commentary box after our Dad, as well as the first Test," Brooke added. "We also can't wait to see the commentary box in person.

"Although he won't be there, he'll always be with us in spirit and watching over the Test. We're so grateful for everything you guys are doing, so thank you."
