The Pogues' frontman Shane MacGowan has been rushed to hospital, as his wife has begged fans to 'send prayers and healing vibes' his way.
The Fairytale Of New York hit-maker, 64, has been in and out of hospital for medical care in recent years.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Shane's wife Victoria May Clarke, shared a picture of the music legend smiling as she informed his fans that he's back in hospital – just three weeks before Christmas.
"Please send prayers and healing vibes to @ShaneMacGowan in hospital again and really hoping to get out asap!! Thank you," Shane's concerned wife penned.
Shane, who has used a wheelchair since he broke his pelvis in 2015, beamed in the sweet snap shared by his wife as fans rushed to send their well wishes.
Worried fans flocked to wish the Fairytale of New York singer a speedy recovery.
"Not at Christmas, the man is the sound of Christmas... I hope he recovers swiftly and not too much discomfort," one fan shared.
"Awh Shane! Bless him. Sending so much love his way. Hope he's back home in time for Christmas," another echoed.
"At least he's still smiling. Wishing this legend a speedy recovery," another fan commented.
While a fourth gushed: "Sending all love and positive vibes your way. Hope things turn out okay soon. I’ll keep him in my prayers."
Shane's wife told the Irish Mirror that the singer is finding it 'frustrating' and wants to get out after being admitted to hospital last Friday.
"I’m definitely hoping he gets out this week. He’s a bit frustrated, I think. He finds it very frustrating… he wants to get out."
Shane and Victoria have been together for more than 35 years.
The couple tied the knot at Copenhagen City Hall in Denmark back in 2018.
Their special day was attended by their close friend Johnny Depp, who sang at the wedding.
