Shane Lowry enjoyed a round of golf with England football internationals Harry Maguire and Jordan Pickford in Dubai on Monday.
The Offaly man and his playing partner Brian Moran got the better of the Premier League stars at the Els Club.
Sharing a snap on Instagram, Lowry wrote: "Great group today in Dubai. Easy money for the Irish."
Responding to the post, Manchester United captain Maguire said: "We'll get revenge on our home patch."
The round of golf came just one day after Lowry's title challenge was derailed by a triple-bogey seven at the opening hole in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on Sunday. He ended the day with a five-over 77.
Posting on Twitter after the tournament, Lowry wrote: "Wasn’t good enough today unfortunately….. thanks to all the Irish that came out today to support and for all your support back home. Sorry I couldn’t deliver."
Lowry is set to compete at the Dubai Desert Classic later this week alongside fellow Irish golfers Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington.
Premier League players are currently on their winter break, with no games scheduled for the weekend of January 29 and 30.
