Shamrock Rovers' home derby clash with Bohemians on Friday night has sold out, with approximately 7,500 fans set to attend Tallaght Stadium for the SSE Airtricity League encounter.
Bohs were allocated 1,000 tickets and, after the Rovers website experienced technical difficulties yesterday due to the volume of the demand from visiting supporters, the remaining tickets sold out this morning.
The clubs clashed last season after Rovers allocated no away tickets for their home October league fixture, and Bohs retaliated with no away tickets at Dalymount Park for a meeting of the rivals the following month.
The Hoops sold record season ticket numbers of 3,469 for 2022 and matchday sales have been strong for the Presidents Cup (5,426) and the first two league games at Tallaght Stadium (UCD 5,232/Drogheda 4,107), making it over 22,000 supporters in Tallaght for Rovers' first four home games of the season.
Defending league champions Rovers have lost two of their opening four games and are hoping to get back to winning ways on Friday, while Bohs are unbeaten after their first three games.
