New Delhi: UP STF Inspector Sunil Kumar, who was injured in encounter with miscreants, on Wednesday succumbed to bullet injuries during the treatment at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, reports Dynamite News Correspondent.

Sustained three bullet wounds
Inspector Sunil Kumar was critically injured during the encounter in Shamli sustaining three bullet wounds to the stomach.

He was initially admitted to a hospital in Karnal before transferring to Gurugram, where he underwent a six-hour surgery. Unfortunately, Inspector Kumar succumbed to his injuries.
He was admitted to the ICU. Doctors found that a bullet had pierced his liver.

Sunil Kumar got promotion
Inspector Sunil Kumar, who was recently promoted from Head constable to Sub-Inspector for his bravery in the Thokia encounter.
The UP STF successfully neutralized four criminals on Monday night, but Inspector Kumar suffered three gunshot during the operation. He was rushed to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for treatment.
