FORMER referee Dermot Gallagher has urged Scottish football chiefs to bring in VAR as soon as it is possible to do so.
The SFA have stated that the video technology will not come into the Premiership until after the World Cup in December.
But already this is causing controversy with costly decisions early in the season being questioned by players, managers and supporters.
Again this weekend there were a number of controversial calls by referees and Gallagher insists VAR must be a priority for those at the top of the game.
He told Sky Sports News: "I think if the managers had it their way, they would have VAR in by next weekend.
"If they have to wait for post-World Cup and they have the product there why would you not use it?
"People say it is not fair because of what happened. With Rangers if you like, with Lundstram's red card.
"It wouldn't happen with another team say in January. You can't just say we have it we are going to store it.
"If you've got it, use it."
