The sexiest names in the world have been revealed in a new study, and there are some rather unusual contenders that top the list. Researchers at Lovehoney based the survey off the names of main characters across hundreds of popular romantic novels and books, and concluded the sauciest favourites.
Jack was found to be the sexiest name for men, while Mary was crowned the hottest for women, closely followed by Nick, James, Rachel and Kate. Some were more predictable with Jack featuring as the lead character in nine novels and films including Titanic, but others came as more of a surprise - like Margaret and Ted.
Mary ranked as the spiciest female name, as depicted by Rachel McAdams in the romantic time-travelling film About Time, and Rachel came in second place, iconically used in Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard.
Julia, Eva, Susan, Sophie and Mia all followed closely, reminding us of famous celebrities Julia Roberts and Eva Longoria - or even Susan Boyle if she's your type.
James and Ben ranked in third and fourth place, which came as no surprise with heart-throbs James Franco and Ben Affleck in the spotlight.
Love Honey noted: "Although it didn't make the top three, the name Sam, which ranks fourth, is arguable in a league of its own.
"Entirely due to the fact it was the name given to Patrick Swayze's character in Ghost in 1990, which features a scene so steamy it made sloshing around a pile of cold, wet clay seem sexy."
While Christian Grey didn't make the list at all, Chris did - but he narrowly missed the top 20.
It also included Lucian - an Emily in Paris favourite - and Dan, short for Daniel like James Bond's Daniel Craig.

The study noted that the sexiest men's names contain vowel sounds at the front of the mouth, whereas the women's were the opposite.
Both gender's hottest names always have less than seven letters too. Plus it suggested that Brits favour classic and timeless names the most, like Jack, Rachel and Nick.
Love Honey added: "Research shows that some names are just naturally sexier than others."
