Couple delighted as new sex shop in Liverpool city centre approved

Licensing plans for a new sex shop in Liverpool city centre were approved.

Scandals, which already has adult stores in Birkenhead and Bootle, has been granted a licence to open up a new shop in the basement of the Bling Bling building in Hanover Street in central Liverpool.

Catherine, 33, whose parents started the Scandals business, told the meeting: "Once people cross the threshold into our stores, everyone acts maturely and like adults in a well controlled and comfortable environment.

"We have served people from ages 18 to 80, of all races, religions and sexualities, people feel respected when they come in - it isn't seedy. People can discuss intimate issues with us and ask for advice and help, we have helped lots of people."

Ava White's family pay tribute to 'beautiful angel' who will be 'forever 12'

Ava White's loved ones have paid tribute to their "beautiful angel".

Tomorrow marks one year since the schoolgirl was murdered after she attended a Christmas light switch on in Liverpool city centre on November 25. The 12-year-old was stabbed in the neck by 'Boy A', who was then aged 14 and cannot be named for legal reasons, after an argument about him filming her on Snapchat.

A series of tributes have been left at the scene on Church Street in Liverpool city centre. They include a floral memorial in the shape of a butterfly, which was attached to a tree on Church Street, along with a message from her "brokenhearted dad", grandparents and other family members.

Encrochat drug dealing suspect named after extradition from Holland

A man was charged in connection with alleged Encrochat drug dealing, after being deported from Holland.

John Barton was arrested by police at Manchester Airport at 12.50pm on Wednesday, November 23. The 47-year-old, of Ennerdale Road, Formby, was charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and cannabis using the encrypted messaging platform.

A spokesperson said: "A Sefton man has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and cannabis using the Encrochat encrypted messaging platform."
