Disgraced reality TV personality Stephen Bear has been released from prison after serving 11 months of his sentence for sharing a sex tape of his ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.
Bear was previously jailed for 21 months after being found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.
He was also ordered to pay more than £200,000 in damages to Ms Harrison for leaking a sex tape online in a “gross invasion of privacy”.
Bear was pictured outside HMP Brixton on Wednesday following his release from prison.
The former reality TV star secretly filmed a sexual encounter on CCTV in his garden and then deliberately sharing the footage online for profit.
He sent the video to friends despite Ms Harrison’s pleas that it be deleted, he then uploaded it to an OnlyFans account and subsequently it “went global” by being copied and posted on porn websites, the High Court heard last year.
She told civil proceedings the leak of the sex tape was her “worst nightmare” and left her feeling “violated and used”.
Bear’s release comes as Ms Harrison takes part in the reality TV show Love Island: All-Stars.
She has previously said the show will be a welcome break after spending the last few years “fighting for myself and other women” against revenge porn and violence.
In June, the law cracked down on people who share intimate images without the consent of those depicted following calls from campaigners, including Harrison.
