Chelsea have so far signed two new players in this summer's transfer window.
Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly have so far arrived for a combined £90million but at least three more signings are being targeted before the September 1 deadline passes by.
Todd Boehly is hard at work to provide Thomas Tuchel with all the equipment he needs to compete in the Premier League next season but multiple blows in the last couple of days regarding defensive targets have slowed down the Blues in the transfer market.

Fresh Jules Kounde sale deadline set
Saturday was a bad day for Chelsea in their pursuit of the 23-year-old defensive target.
From Kounde himself dropping a social media hint to reports in Spain claiming the player had rejected Chelsea's transfer proposal, it is not looking positive for the Blues.
However, with Sevilla continuing to deny negotiations with Barcelona for their star centre-half, Chelsea still have a chance to end this long transfer saga in the forthcoming days.
The Daily Mail has reported that new owner Boehly is set for fresh talks with Sevilla director Monchi on Sunday whilst 90 Min state that the club want to have a £55million deal done by the end of Monday.
Presnel Kimpembe priced out of Chelsea move
The negotiations for the Paris Saint-Germain star has gone quiet.
Not only does new manager Christophe Galtier want to keep the defender but Kimpembe himself wants to stay put at the Parc des Princes.
This has made a move to Chelsea even more unlikely this summer but all options remain on the table. Chelsea's initial offer for the 26-year-old was around £40million but it has been since been revealed that the Parisians want a whopping £20million if they are to sell the Les Bleus international.
Duncan Castles has reported that £60million is now required if a deal was to be agreed in this scenario. A price would could prove to be too steep in the eyes of Boehly.
Conor Gallagher's Chelsea transfer ambitions revealed
Everton and other Premier League suitors have seemingly been dealt a terminal blow in their pursuit of the young English midfielder this summer, who looks to have committed his future to Chelsea because of one man: Thomas Tuchel.
"It has been good and obviously back at Chelsea, I have got to try and impress and show what I can do, but yeah, so far, so good," he told Sky Sports.
"I loved the Palace fans as well, I just wanted to say that. I loved playing there last season, but I feel like I’m ready to make the step up for Chelsea this season.
"The boss here has said he wants me around and he thinks I’m good enough. Hopefully I can play a big part this season for Chelsea."
