Severe weather has struck the Midwestern United States, with reports of a tornado touching down near Corning, Iowa, located southwest of Des Moines. In Prescott, Iowa, a fire broke out following the collapse of at least three wind turbine towers, believed to have been caused by either a tornado or strong winds. The town of Greenfield, Iowa, approximately 50 miles southwest of Des Moines, has also suffered significant damage.
Tornado watches are currently in effect for more than 10 million individuals across portions of nine states. These states include Oklahoma, Arkansas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, among others. The affected areas are bracing for potentially dangerous weather conditions as the tornado watches remain in place.
