Severance Season Two Returns With New Twists And Star-Studded Cast

Millie Gibson hints at surprise return in Doctor Who Season 15

Apple's workplace thriller, Severance, is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season, set to premiere in January 2025. The streaming platform announced that the 10-episode season will be released weekly over the course of the first two months of the new year.

The show, directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller, follows the story of Mark Scout, portrayed by Adam Scott, a manager at the enigmatic Lumon Industries. Within this company, employees undergo severance procedures to separate their memories between their work and personal lives.

Season one of Severance garnered critical acclaim, receiving multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and winning two Writers Guild awards. The upcoming season will see the return of original cast members such as Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette, alongside new series regular Sarah Bock. Additionally, Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, and Merritt Wever are set to make appearances in season two.

In the new season, viewers can expect Mark and his colleagues to face the severe consequences of tampering with the severance barrier, leading them down a path of despair and turmoil, as stated in a press release. The show, created and executive produced by Dan Erickson, promises to delve deeper into the complexities of the workplace dynamics at Lumon Industries.

Severance season two is scheduled to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 17, 2025, with subsequent episodes airing every Friday until March 21, 2025. Fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting the return of the show, which will mark a significant milestone since its initial debut in February 2022.
