Several restaurants near Bristol have been named in the top 10 offering the country's best fine dining experiences, according to reviewers.
Travel review site TripAdvisor has released a list of the best high-end dining across the UK and the Channel Islands, three of which are less than an hour's drive from the city. The list has been released as part of the travel site's Travellers Choice Best of the Best awards for this year.
The Olive Tree in Bath - the only restaurant in the city that holds a Michelin star - has taken the number 5 slot on the list. Previous reviewers have said it's a "must" try for foodies in the area while another said it offers a "mouth-watering experience".

Located below the Queensberry Hotel, the menu offers classic flavours with modern techniques with six to nine-dish sample menus for the evening sitting from £105 per person. The lunch menu, available from Friday to Sunday, costs £70 for four dishes.
In Gloucestershire, Cheltenham's The Mahal has been referred to as "faultless" for its excellent food and wonderful service. The restaurant seeks to take its diners on a culinary Indian journey through India serving a seven-course tasting menu at £65 per head and along with a la carte, including main dishes starting from £14 each.
Just making the top 10 is Gem42 in Newport, which is less than an hour's away by car. It's known for its Italian cuisine which has left diners questioning why it doesn't have a Michelin star. The restaurant prioritises high-quality ingredients at the heart of its dishes (charging £85 for a multi-dish set menu) to create simple but authentic Italian cooking.
