An nose-to-tail accident between seven vehicles on the Monaro Highway has led to traffic delays in Fyshwick.
Northbound traffic is down to one lane only, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
Four vehicles needed to be towed as a result of the incident.
Traffic heading west on Newcastle Street and north on Ipswich Street has also been affected and is moving slowly.
No injuries have been reported.
