Prince Harry's rocky bond with his royal relatives looks set to be examined yet again in a tell-all interview on ITV.
The chat, with News at Ten host Tom Bradby, will air on Sunday night and comes just hours before the release of his highly anticipated memoir Spare.
A trailer for the sit-down interview has already proved controversial and in it, Harry admits he would like to repair his relationships with his father King Charles and older brother Prince William.
However, he appears to claim that there has been "no willingness to reconcile" which has left some royal sources scratching their heads.
One said that Harry and wife Meghan Markle were "always welcome" to spend Christmas with the royal family, despite taking part in a six-part Netflix series where Harry called Charles a liar and William a bully.
And it appears there have been multiple other times that the couple has been either invited to be included in royal life or talked of fondly - despite now living in California...
Princess Diana statue unveiling
One event that saw William and Harry thrust together despite their rift was an unveiling of a statue dedicated to their late mother Princess Diana in Kensington Palace.
The event came just months after Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey and the death of the late Prince Philip.
Obviously, as one of Diana's cherished sons, Harry was at the unveiling alongside William - despite the now Prince of Wales reportedly being deeply upset by the Oprah interview.
Meghan was unable to attend the unveiling as she had just given birth to daughter Lilibet and the Princess of Wales also stayed away.
Article olive branch
Exactly one year ago, many saw the fact that Charles mentioned Harry in an essay and praised his work on climate change as an olive branch.
In a New Year essay last year, Charles issued a call for urgent action to save the environment and praised both William and Harry for their work in raising awareness of the issue.
He wrote: "Most recently, my elder son, William, launched the prestigious Earthshot Prize to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years by identifying and investing in the technologies that can make a difference.
"And my younger son, Harry, has passionately highlighted the impact of climate change, especially in relation to Africa, and committed his charity to being net-zero."
Memorial snub
Last March, a huge memorial service was held at Westminster Abbey for Harry's late grandfather Prince Philip that was attended by all members of the royal family.
Harry was invited to attend to commemorate the life of the Duke of Edinburgh but a spokesman later said he would not be coming the event.
This came amid Harry's legal case against the Home Office over his security arrangements in the UK.
Tea with Queen
However, just weeks after the memorial, both Harry and Meghan did travel to the UK, where they were able to see the late Queen.
It came as they travelled from their US to the Netherlands, where the 2021 Invictus Games were being held.
They had tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle and also met with Charles and his wife Camilla, the now Queen Consort.
However, days after the meeting, Harry gave an interview, where he cryptically said he wanted to make sure his grandmother was "being protected".
Platinum Jubilee celebrations
Just weeks after their secret visit to the UK, Harry and Meghan returned with their children for a huge royal event - the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The couple was seen interacting with other royals at Trooping the Colour and also attended a service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.
It is believed they were invited to the rest of the events but chose not to attend a concert at Buckingham Palace or the Jubilee pageant on the final day.
Holiday invites
As well as being invited to public events, Harry and Meghan are also said to have been invited to spend private time with the family.
On two occasions last year in a bid to improve relations, Charles asked Harry and his family to come and visit at his Highgrove home in Gloucestershire and just weeks before the late Queen’s passing reiterated his invitation for the Sussexes and their two children to visit him in Scotland when on holiday.
A source said of Harry's latest claims: "It takes some audacity to say that when his father invited him to stay at his house when in the UK, invited him to spend Christmas with the rest of the family and continued to make public statements of support.
"It’s outrageous."
Windsor Walkabout
In September both Harry and Meghan happened to be in the UK visiting charities when the late Queen died.
In the days after her death, most of the royal family took part in walkabouts at royal residences to meet wellwishers and look at the floral tributes to the monarch.
And Harry and Meghan were among them after they joined William and Kate on a walkabout at Windsor Castle.
It is believed that William invited the couple to join him at Kate so they could show unity as they mourned their grandmother.
In the days leading up to the funeral, Harry also joined his brother and the rest of his royal cousins to mount a vigil around the Queen's coffin at Westminster Hall - and was also permitted to wear military uniform.
