Seven individuals were transported to local hospitals following a shooting incident at a school in Madison, Wisconsin. The incident occurred on Monday morning, prompting a swift response from the fire department.
Fire Chief Chris Carbon reported that the department received the emergency call at approximately 10:57 a.m. local time. In response, five engine companies, four ladder companies, and 15 ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
Four of the injured individuals were taken to St. Mary's Hospital, while the remaining three were transported to University of Wisconsin hospitals for treatment, as confirmed by Carbon.
During a news conference, Carbon expressed gratitude towards the county partners and other fire and EMS agencies that provided assistance in the aftermath of the incident.
