Emergency services are battling a building fire on Nuneaton Street in Glasgow's east end. Seven fire crews are on the scene, which is believed to have started when some rubbish caught fire at a waste management site.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call around 2.35am, a spokesperson said. There are no reported injuries at this stage.
The A728 is shut in both directions between Dalmarnock Road and London Road as a result of the blaze, with diversions in place.
Drone footage from photographer George Allison shows the extent of the smoke billowing from the site.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "The SFRS are in attendance at a building fire on Nuneaton Street in Glasgow. We received a call at 2.35am. It's believed that rubbish first went on fire.
"Six appliances plus a height appliance are on the scene. There are no reports of any casualties at this time, and no indication as to how the fire started."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.05am on Wednesday, February 8, police were called to assist Scottish Fire and Rescue with road closures following a fire on Nuneaton Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow.
"Police and fire remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing."
