A set of old 'latchkeys' for the same Glasgow tenement have gone up for sale on eBay.
The four Odell Georgian latch keys could fetch over £50 if prospective buyers are enticed to splash the cash - having received a starting bid of £38 for the set.
Little is written about the keys, other than that they are antique originals which date back to the 19th century. Two of the keys are iron, one brass and one bronze, with the brass one listed as being "slightly pitted".

The night latchkeys, which were used before the actual door key could be put into the main lock, were quite specific to the Glasgow and Edinburgh tenements of the Victorian period. Each key was handcrafted to fit its own unique lock.
Other similar latch keys for sale on the online marketplace are described as 'rare and unusual' in their listings.
