Police appeal for BMW drivers as woman fights for life after being hit by car

Officers investigating a serious crash in Liverpool city centre this weekend are appealing for two BMW drivers.

A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a red Vauxhall on Brownlow Hill, on Sunday, January 30.

Roads Policing Sergeant Amy Murray said: "While we have made two arrests, our investigation into a collision in Liverpool City Centre which left a woman seriously injured is ongoing, and we are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

"We’re particularly keen to speak to the drivers of two BMW vehicles who were driving on Brownlow Hill shortly before the collision occurred. Our CCTV enquiries so far show that they may have information that could assist us with our investigation."

Man runs into Wetherspoon pub after being slashed in face

The Navigator, Wetherspoons, Queens Drive ,Old Swan (Liverpool ECHO)

A man ran into a Wetherspoon pub looking for help after being slashed in the face in a park.

Police were called to the Navigator pub, on Queen's Drive, after reports a man had a slash wound to his face.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police, as officers carry out CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries.

Former Liverpool ONE Debenhams store to become go kart track

Plans will be discussed next week that could see the former Debenhams store in Liverpool City Centre transformed into an indoor go karting track.

Liverpool Council's planning committee will run the rule over an application from Grosvenor, the landlord of Liverpool ONE, who want to convert part of the vacant 185,000 sq ft department store into leisure space - which could feature a go-kart track.

The building is located on the corner of South John Street and Lord Street and falls within the Liverpool ONE estate.
