Scottish serial killer Peter Tobin had his body checked for 'explosives' after he died in September.
The evil 76-year-old was understood to have been suffering from cancer during his final years in Saughton Prison, Edinburgh, with the families of some of his victim's pleading for information before he died in pain.
Despite efforts from police to obtain the secrets to some of his heinous crimes before his death, Tobin reportedly took the truth to his grave. The Scottish Sun now reports that experts checked Tobin's body to make sure it did not contain any explosive devices.

Documents show forensic pathologists examined his corpse for a number of potential hazards, with one medical certificate saying that there was no "radioactive material or any other hazardous implant currently in the deceased."
Despite the severity of the checks, it is understood they are in fact routine and should be carried out following the death of every person.
The report also noted that the body didn't contain a "cardiac pacemaker or any other potentially explosive device."
Although the reported death of Tobin was linked to cancer and refusing to eat or drink during his final weeks, the certificate listed the official cause as "unascertained (pending investigations)".
It was filled out by an expert from Edinburgh BioQuarter health institute on October 12.
After Tobin's cremation, it is understood that staff also deep-cleaned the oven used over fears his ashes could mix with others. One warning of “potential cross contamination” said: “No family will have cause to be concerned.”
The father of one of Tobin's victims, Vicky Hamilton, hailed the decision and was "relieved" to hear no care was shown after his death, adding: "It's good they didn't stick a monster like him in with normal people."
Tobin's ashes were reportedly then scattered at sea.
