Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos has praised Tottenham striker Harry Kane amid reports the England captain could move to the Spanish capital this summer.
Kane, who scored 32 goals in all competitions this season, could leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he has just 12 months left on his current contract. Real Madrid have expressed an interest in signing the Spurs talisman following the shock departure of Karim Benzema and despite at first eyeing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, Los Blancos chiefs now seem set on trying to lure Kane to the Santiago Bernabeu.
New Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou will want to try and keep Kane for the 2023/24 campaign, but according to Spanish outlet Marca the 29-year-old is open to the transfer. Daniel Levy has priced a move at around €80million (£68.8million) but is expected to be stern in negotiations, reports the Daily Mirror.
Ramos, who will leave PSG when his deal expires at the end of June, has sent a subtle transfer message to Kane, labelling Madrid as a "special club". He said: "My advice to any player is don’t turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid – it is a special club who know how to win.
"He [Kane] has an incredible physical presence, you can’t score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game. But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. Yes, he is a great goalscorer but also he is a great football player as well.”

Ramos added: "He [Benzema] has contributed to so much success with Real Madrid you will never be able to replace him – he is one of those players who is unique in the history of Madrid.
"What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals. Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation – so it needs to be the right player."
Of course, it remains to be seen where Kane's future lies. But if Ramos' quotes are anything to go by, it could well be in Spain.
