Sergio Aguero has named Ronaldo Nazario as the best striker of all-time, but snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo from his exclusive club.
The ex-Manchester City forward was speaking on his Twitch channel as he also included Thierry Henry and Luis Suarez in his top three. Brazilian legend Ronaldo made it to the front of the queue after enjoying an impressive career for several clubs across the globe.
Ronaldo first made a name for himself in Europe at PSV, before earning himself a move to Barcelona. He spent one year at Camp Nou, before enjoying spells at Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan. In total, Ronaldo scored 352 goals in 518 matches across his professional club career, while adding a further 62 in 98 caps for Brazil.
It's clear to see why Aguero named Ronaldo as his all-time best striker, but there was a surprise omission from the top-three. The Argentine did not include Cristiano Ronaldo on the list, despite his remarkable goalscoring record and the longevity he has shown in his career.
Speaking on his Twitch channel, Aguero said: "The top three strikers in history? Ronaldo Nazario, Thierry Henry and Luis Suarez – in that order."
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 715 club goals in 970 appearances, including 14 in 19 games for his new employers, Al-Nassr, following his big-money move to the Middle-East. He is also Portugal's all-time record scorer, having grabbed a remarkable 141 goals for his nation over the years.
To those who follow Aguero's output regularly, perhaps the omission shouldn't be a huge shock. The ex-Man City striker has previously been critical of the Portuguese and claimed back in April that all of his free-kick goals were "pure luck".
Weighing into the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo debate, Aguero said: "Come on. All free-kick goals and pure luck. Messi's are all at the angle, stupid. But what does [Ronaldo] do? Goalkeeper's fault. I think Raul has better goals, [Karim] Benzema I think he has better ones."

As for Henry, he was named Aguero's second best after a storied career, most notably for Arsenal and Barcelona. The Frenchman retired in 2012 after 366 club goals in 813 matches. Henry is recognised as one of the Premier League's greatest ever players.
There has always been mutual respect between Aguero and Henry. In fact, Henry chose to praise the ex-Argentina international after becoming City's all-time goalscorer back in 2017.
"He's just a joke," the former Arsenal striker told Sky Sports. "Every time the records are coming his name pops up. We keep on forgetting about him sometimes. I don’t understand why he never won player of the season."
Suarez, a former Liverpool and Barcelona forward, made up Aguero's top three. The Uruguayan is still going at the age of 36 with Gremio, having totalled over 450 goals in his career.
