Sergio Aguero hopes for Man City for Champions League success

Sergio Aguero has tipped Manchester City for Champions League success this season.

The Argentinian striker made 390 appearances during his time at the Etihad having arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011.

During ten years in Manchester, Aguero scored 260 goals and grabbed 73 assists as well.

At 33 years of age, the forward left City for pastures new back in La Liga with Barcelona.

Sadly he would only make five appearances for the Catalan club before having to retire due to ill health.

On Tuesday afternoon, Aguero invited his followers on Twitter to ask him questions that they wanted answering.

A query which sprung to the mind of one person was who the Argentine thought would lift the Champions League this season.

His response will have brought a smile to many faces.

Aguero simply replied: "Hopefully Manchester City," followed by a love heart emoji.

Pep Guardiola's men return to Champions League action tonight when they face Sporting Lisbon in the Round of 16.
