Ex- Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has confessed he is too scared to play or watch football in the wake of his cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis that forced him into an early retirement.
The City legend was left with little choice but to hang up his boots on the advice of medical professionals having made just four appearances for Barcelona beforehand.
While Aguero has revealed that for now his immediate focus is on resting, he has conceded he will begin to think about what kind of role he could play within football in the future.
According to TYC Sports, Aguero said: "Today I want to play, but I'm scared. I trained all my life to the maximum and in big competitions. I don't watch football or the news, I don't care what's going on.

"I concentrate on what I like the most, like friends. Returning to play comes into my head from time to time but I know it's something I can't do.
"They told me I was lucky because I could easily have had a heart attack. Now it time to relax. I'm happy with what I'm doing."
In surprising but welcome news, Aguero has revealed he may have some part to play in Argentina's preparations for the Qatar World Cup later this year.
"We're still talking about what role I'll have. [Argentine FA president Claudio Tapia] has always been nice to me and asked me to come," Aguero explained.
"We're going to chat a little more to see if I'll go to the World Cup draw. I'll be there with the guys, I get along very well with them. I'll be there with them and helping them with tense situations."
Aguero went on to explain how he could also take on what appears to be an ambassadorial role at the Etihad.
"With Manchester City we are looking to go to three or four annual events. I'm looking for something similar with the Argentine national team."
Aguero's last game of competitive football came at the beginning of November last year for the Blaugrana after being substituted against Alaves following his chest complaints.
The complaints were later discovered to be an irregular heartbeat, though even in the immediate aftermath of his diagnosis a retirement announcement was not expected.
A month later a tearful Aguero sat at the Camp Nou tearfully informing the football world of his plans to stop playing in front of a number of different representatives from his former teams.
City boss Pep Guardiola was in attendance as Aguero struggled to contain his emotions.
