Serge Gnabry gives Arsenal fans two reasons why he will snub Chelsea and Tottenham summer move

Serge Gnabry has given Arsenal fans two reasons not to worry about the potential of him betraying the club like players have done in the past.

According to German outlet Bild, Chelsea and Tottenham are monitoring winger Gnabry after his contract talks with Bayern Munich have stalled.

The German international has been excellent in the Bundesliga, and his reputation has quickly grown to the point where he is considered one of the best wingers in European football currently.

His links to Chelsea and Spurs could certainly worry Arsenal fans but he has previously reassured fans that he would join either club.

The German winger still has a lot of admiration for the Gunners which was proven with a tweet claiming that London is Arsenal’s after Gnabry’s Bayern Munich side dismantled Tottenham in the Champions 7-2 in 2019.

He was excellent during this match where he scored four goals, as he ran rampant in north London against Arsenal’s fierce rivals.

The winger also followed the same path later in that same season, as his side ran riot once against but this time against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Gnabry declared that “London [is] still red” on Twitter after putting Chelsea to the sword in the capital. The German winger scored twice in a 3-0 demolition at Stamford Bridge which left Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals paper-thin.

The German attacker left the Gunners in 2016 to join Bundesliga side Werder Bremen after he failed to agree on a new contract when Arsene Wenger was manager of the club.

Since his move away from the Premier League, he has become a Champions League winner and a multiple German league champion with Bayern Munich.

According to German outlet Bild, Gnabry and his representatives are demanding £12.5m-a-year in wages to sign a new contract, but Bayern have yet to agree to these terms, which has put talks currently on hold, which means he could be on his way out of the club.

But his connections to Arsenal highlight that if he does depart, then it will not be to one of the Gunners’ biggest rivals.
