A LONG-SERVING councillor in Glasgow has left the SNP group.
Feargal Dalton, is now listed as an independent councillor on the council website.
Councillor Dalton has been an SNP councillor in Victoria Park ward in the west of the city since 2012, and has been re-elected twice.
He was a senior member of the council administration and a former city convenor for workforce.

Dalton is a former weapons engineering officer serving on submarines for 17 years in the Royal Navy and also a former teacher.
He is married to Carol Monaghan, former Glasgow North West SNP MP, who lost the redrawn Glasgow West seat to Labour’s Patricia Ferguson last year.
The Glasgow Times has attempted to contact Councillor Dalton.
The SNP now has 37 councillors, ahead of Labour on 31.
A spokesperson for the SNP Group on Glasgow City Council said: "Councillor Feargal Dalton sits as an independent by mutual agreement.
"The SNP group wishes him all the best for the future."
There are now four independent councillors: Dalton, and three former Labour members, Frank McAveety, Philip Braat and Audrey Dempsey.
