The number of senior officers earning over £100,000 in the scandal hit Metropolitan Police has almost doubled in a year.
But rank-and-file cops have suffered a real-terms 20% cut in wages in a decade, according to the Police Federation.
Figures uncovered by the Sunday Mirror show the number of officers on six figures has jumped from 35 at the end of 2020 to 61 in 2021.
The highest paid include departing commissioner Dame Cressida Dick on almost £250,000.

The job ad for her replacement – Sir Mark Rowley who takes over from acting commissioner Sir Stephen House – suggested a salary of £293k.
Our revelations come after the force became the country’s first to be put into special measures following a string of errors which forced the exit of Dame Cressida.
In contrast, the Police Federation says that after taking inflation into account, rank-and-file cops have suffered a 20% cut since 2010.
Former London officer-turned campaigner Norman Brennan, who heads the Law and Order Foundation, said: “You could earn more being a manager in McDonald’s.”
Shadow policing minister Sarah Jones said: “Hard-working police officers in my constituency are being forced to use foodbanks.”
