A huge showdown between two of the world’s top players will be at the epicentre of today’s Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Egypt.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, both of Liverpool in their club duties, face off in Cameroon as they chase their personal maiden AFCON crowns.
For the Pharaohs, this stage is nothing new with the North Africans boasting a record seven titles over the years, including three in a row between 2006 and 2010.
However, they will be without manager Carlos Queiroz on the touchline at Olembe Stadium for the 7pm GMT kick-off due to his sending off in the semi-final win over Cameroon.
A victory today for Senegal would mark their first-ever AFCON trophy, and after a fairly convincing run to the final, and with Egypt going to extra-time in each of their knockout games, some would make them the favourites.
