Nottingham Forest midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté "could be out" of Senegal's World Cup last 16 tie against England on Sunday evening.
The 32-year-old was stretchered off during Senegal's opening group game against the Netherlands on November 21 and has not featured for his country at the tournament since.
They are now preparing to face England in the round of 16 but could be without Kouyaté, who has not trained this week ahead of the match. It is unclear whether he will be able to return for Forest when domestic football gets back under way later this month.

But ahead of Sunday's World Cup match, assistant Régis Bogaert updated the media, saying it looks likely Kouyaté will miss the game.
"I've learned this afternoon Cheikhou Kouyaté of Nottingham Forest has an injury," BBC 5Live's John Murray said on Saturday afternoon. "The assistant coach told us that it might be too soon for him, so it looks as though he could be out."
