Send your message to Manchester United and celebrate historic Carabao Cup win

What a week it has been for United fans, with a dramatic come-from-behind Europa League win over Barcelona followed by Carabao Cup final glory.

Two first-half goals from Casemiro and a Sven Botman own-goal were enough to secure United's first piece of silverware under Erik ten Hag to indicate another important step on the way to United regaining their rightful place at the summit of English football.

The Red Devils opened the scoring through Casemiro in the 33rd minute when he connected with Luke Shaw's free-kick into the box – albeit sparking a close VAR call to give the goal as onside.

Marcus Rashford was played in to help double United’s lead just minutes later after being found by Wout Weghorst in the box, with the England forward’s strike deflecting off Sven Botman past Loris Karius in goal.

The Newcastle goalkeeper was forced into a save to deny Weghorst adding a third goal before half-time when a long-range effort from the United player was tipped over the bar.

Despite efforts from Eddie Howe's side to keep their Carabao Cup dream alive in the second half, it was Erik ten Hag's side who reigned victorious by full-time and end a six-year wait for silverware.

With the small matter of the Premier League title still up for grabs, the Wembley victory is a sure sign United are ready to be winners again.
